ITS TIME FOR AUTUMN

Want this exact dress? Get it here!

It's boot season! I have missed wearing boots, I do actually prefer them over heels - am I the only the only one who thinks this lol?

In collaboration with Femme Luxe , I paired these boots from Public Desire with the Knitwear range from Femme Luxe. Mustard and khaki is like the best partnership - the colours work so well for the
early Autumn trend.

If you want to see more Knitwear this Autumn, check out the Femme Luxe collection! Also, do let me know what you think about wearing these colours for autumn!

KNITWEAR AT ITS FINEST

Want this exact dress? Get it here!

I've heard a lot of people say Autumn is now their new favourite time of year. At first I was stuck with summer forever being the best time of year but Autumn too has its best bits especially those REALLY into fashion. The long boots come out, the fur jackets start to appear (of course faux fur) and the knitwear of every single colour you can think of start making their way to our fav online shops and boutiques.

The feeling of being comfortable and fashionable is like having the best of both worlds. C'mon, I'm sure you remember a time where you wore a really pretty dress but couldn't sit properly or kept shifting it every 5 minutes? Yes, that was me once upon a time!

Femme Luxe have literally answered the very question I was having in summer...what should I wear for Autumn?? This dress is not only comfortable but the bright pop of orange finishes the look giving it a quirky but sophisticated Autumn look.

If you're looking for a new Autumn wardrobe, check out the Femme Luxe Knitwear range for some special deals!

AFRICA FASHION WEEK LONDON 2018

When you think of African Fashion, what comes to mind? Is it the vibrant colours that can be seen a mile away? Or the unique set of patterns that dominate the fabrics? Whichever it may be, Africa Fashion Week London is back for its 8th annual event!

Being a part of Africa Fashion Week London was every inch of a cultural celebration of African fashion, art and beauty. Hosted at the Freemasons  Hall in London, Africa Fashion Week London showcased hundreds of unique and vibrant collections from designers across the globe.

It was my second time coming to this event and I was honoured to interview models, designers, stylists and the public at the event to get a glimpse of what its like for them to be a part of one of Europe's largest fashion events that celebrates the African culture. Across the historic hallways was filled with the public who seemed intrigued and excited to experience stands with traditional style Liputa (which is the name given to the patterned fabric from D.R. Congo) and other African materials all out on display in eye-catching designs of bikinis, evening gowns, day dress and more.

With platforms like Africa Fashion Week London, it was a vital way to bring to light the beauty that originates in one of the second largest continent in the world. Living in London, most of us are fortunate enough to be spoiled for choice when it comes to the Africa market from traditional food, clothes and beauty products. So after a successful weekend of Africa Fashion Week London, the futures seems vibrant for a more diverse and  and inclusive industry which has been (and still is) dominated by the western world. It's events like this that ensure that Africa is celebrated and promoted on a global scale to create an everlasting impact of how Africa is perceived.

The event concluded with the famous catwalk, putting on a display with hundreds of unique pieces, each designer bringing their own flavour and inspiration to their collections. Nothing was short of the imagination when it came to showcasing what Africa fashion is in 2018.

California Highlights: Malibu & Hollywood walk of fame

Malibu Beach

After about 40 minutes drive on the motorway from Hollywood, Malibu Beach was the next destination! It was a really peaceful town; literally it was Sun, Sea and Beach.

Santa Monica is another beautiful area in California and was not too far off from Malibu. Visiting the amusement park was a lovely way to end the day after all the driving and walking around. This is definitely the place to visit if you're into arcade games and fun fair vibes. You do have to pay a fee to get in but its all worth it, wether you're with a group of friends, family or a date!

Now I have ALWAYS wanted to experience high school in the US so I loved bumping into Hollywood High School in Hollywood! Of course this school specialised in performing arts and we did see a mini band at the front gates.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

DREAM COME TRUE! Now for so so long, I had always wanted to see the King of Pop's Hollywood star. The struggle was real to try and locate it! We walked up and down the boulevard trying to figure out where it was, not knowing there was two Michael Jackson stars, one who was a radio personality and of course the Kind of Pop. Luckily, a nice man told us exactly where we could find Michael Jackson's star - right outside the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Boulevard. This will definitely be framed at some point.

Hollywood highlights: Trip to LOS ANGELES + VIDEO

T Shirt | Africax5
Shorts | Romwe
Cap | Primak
Hey guys! My spring break was all kinds of exciting as I took a trip to the US for the second time but this time spent my trip in the beautiful and vibrant city of Los Angeles, California! I did a lot on this trip, so here are some of my highlights of the best parts of my holiday.

HOLLYWOOD SIGN

Seeing this iconic Hollywood sign in person was one of the most surreal, breathtaking moments I've had in a long time! I would always see the sign in movies, pictures, on the internet etc but seeing it in person was all kinds of amazing!

I was lucky enough to be staying in a hotel that was about 20 minutes from the sign so spotting the sign was no issue at all; my sister did the driving which made things soo much easier! I am 100% sure we past some celebrity houses on the Hollywood hills lol!

HOLLYWOOD NEIGHBOURHOOD

Getting around the city in a convertible was soo cool, and highly convenient especially during the heat. Being from London we are so used to taking public transport like the train or bus but in L A soo many people drove around - I only saw about a couple of buses in town!

LACMA MUSEUM
Checking out some art at the LACMA museum was interesting! I actually had no idea about this museum until I came across a blogger who wrote about visiting here. Each artwork was unique and perfect for taking photos in...its free to go there too, unless you will be parking here!

STAPLES CENTER: BASKETBALL GAME

My first EVER basketball game couldn't have been any better! It was an absolute dream to experience a live basketball game.

I watched the LA Lakers vs Timberwolves at the Staples Center. This venue is popular for holding high profile concerts, boxing matches and top events. Definitely something to check out if you're in town!

90s VERSACE

Hey guys!

So finally the snow has cleared up which means I can get back to blogging some of my new outfits! Its been a while...
I was really feeling to try something new and bold so luckily I happened to come across this pretty dress from Pretty Little Thing.

Is it me or does this dress look like a vintage Versace outfit?? I'm not obsessed with designers really but this did look like a classic outfit from back in the 90s... something Naomi Campbell would wear I think!

BLACK BEAUTY & FASHION AWARDS

Hey guys!

These past few months have been filled with awards ceremonies and red carpet events with the most recent being the Black Panther Premiere.

Closer to home, a prestigious red carpet event took place at the Black Beauty and Fashion Awards. This event celebrated entrepreneurs, business owners, bloggers and much more in the Afro-Caribeean community.

Even though I unfortunately missed out on going to the Black Panther premiere (i know right?!),  I was still able to feel the vibes of Wakanda at the Black Beauty & Fashion Awards in Porchester Hall, London - and yes everyone I interviewed had watched the film!

Check out the interviews below!
